6 Teenagers Face Child Pornagraphy Charges for Sending Nude Texts
The law takes a firm stance on teenagers who send nude pics commonly referred to as “sexting.” 3 females and 3 males learned the hard way and are facing child pornography charges for sending and receiving nude pics which comes with a felony. While something needs to be done to curb sexting charging teenagers for child pornography isn’t the answer. Teenagers don’t realize how quickly a picture can be texted, emailed and posted online. Thus, the issue needs to be addressed in a manner that curbs sexting but doesn’t mark teenagers as pornography distributors making them sex offenders. Keep in mind that 20% of teenagers send nude pics so that’s a lot of “sex offenders” to prosecute. CBS legal analyst, Lisa Bloom, addresses sexting and gives her opinion on what should be done to curb the new phenomena.
