JFK is in hot water again this time after a air traffic controller let his kids direct planes. Although Controller Glenn Duffy and his boss saw nothing wrong with letting children radio signals to pilots the FAA is taking the matter extremely serious launching an investigation into the matter. Recorded footage has been obtained documenting his son and daughter directing planes on multiple occasions. While he was more than likely telling them what to say some do not think it was wise for him to have his kids in the tower. Peter Goelz, Former Managing Director NTSB stated,
“It was just an incredibly stupid mistake. Runway incursion, the control of aircraft on the runways, at major airports is one of the most critical safety issues”
