Living in a first world country Americans often forget how fortunate we are for having the wherewithal to not face many of the issues 3rd world countries deal with on the daily basis. Every 30 seconds a child dies from malaria a disease that’s killed more people in the world than any other disease. Half of the world’s population is at risk to get the disease, its cut economic growth in some countries by as much as 1.3% and it’s the leading killer of children in Africa. Wet areas are the most at risk because its where misquotes, who transport the disease, breed. While the highest rates of malaria are in Sub Saharan Africa, its prevalent in the Middle East, Latin America and parts of Europe. “When the Night Comes” is a film by Bobby Bailey that exposes America and the world to a reality that many Africans face everyday.
